Meet Laura

Laura Cunningham is the mother of three children and lives contentedly in Redding, CT. She is a Master’s student studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, and seeks to become certified in Ecotherapy. She has been a professional watercolor artist for over 19 years and is the head organizer for a 20s and 30s meetup group in the Danbury area. Laura started Kaleeba Inc. because she felt strongly that clean water, fresh food, and educational opportunities are a human right for all.

Meet Sylvia

Sylvia is the founder and executive director of KYEMPAPU, in Kirinda, Uganda. With a degree in Environmental Management, she returned to her birthplace to address the challenges impacting her community. Kyempapu works to mitigate waterborne diseases by establishing clean water and sanitation- an effort that directly supports local girls who face safety and educational barriers when walking long distances for water. She is a public speaker for environmental education, plants trees among local schools, and is currently constructing a community library out of recycled plastic bottles at the center.
